Meet our new Teachers & Staff

Ms. Domeck has a love for travel and says if she weren’t an educator she would likely be a travel blogger. When she’s not exploring new places, she enjoys a good page turner-especially books by Liane Moriarty. She brings her core values of diversity, empathy, and collaboration into all that she does!

Ms. Terry brings empathy, curiosity, and a strong work ethic into everything she does. Outside of school, she loves memoirs and recommends Be Ready When Luck Happens by Ina Garten. And if she weren’t an educator? You might find her creating beautiful window displays for Anthropologie-or solving mysteries as a private investigator! 

If Ms. Johnson was not an educator she would put her creativity and organization to work as an event planner. Her core values of love, hard work, and connection shine through all she does! She recommends Educated by Tara Westover. 

Mr. Gaspar’s classroom is, fittingly, the great outdoors! His core values of curiosity, kindness, exploration, hygge, and play are a perfect fit for the experience he creates for our students. He recommends The Living Mountain by Nan Shepherd. 

Hi! My name is Ms. Hanley and I am a first year kindergarten teacher for the 2025-2026 school year! I graduated from Duke University in May with a degree in Public Policy and Education, and I am thrilled to be joining the Lyons Farm family. I just finished my 18th total year of competitive swimming and my final year of collegiate athletics, so I am excited for a new chapter of my life focused on my career outside of the pool. I look forward to seeing you all around the school very soon.

My name is Teacher Snell and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Lyons Farm this year! I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023 and have taught 3rd grade for two years. I grew up in New Hampshire and just moved here this summer with my partner. The community in Durham is amazing and I am looking forward to becoming a bigger part of it!

My name is Maddie Fox, I am the new school social worker and I am super excited to get to know and support the Lyons Farm community this year! I went to UGA for my BSW(GO DAWGS!) and UNC Chapel Hill for my MSW(GO HEELS!)! I love college football, being outside, reading, and playing with my cat Missy! 

Marelle Cacciabaudo has been a proud Lyons Farm parent, volunteer, and substitute teacher over the past 2 years, and she is excited to take on a new role as an Instructional Assistant in a kindergarten class. You can find her on the weekends exploring museums and parks with her kids and husband, playing with her dogs and foster dogs in their backyard, and cheering for the Florida Gators, Philadelphia Eagles, and Durham Bulls.  

My name is Erick Fernando Villalobos Rivera,
I have a diploma as an Elementary Teacher with an English Teaching degree from Universidad Pedagogica Nacional Francisco Morazan, currently pursuing ME.  on TESOL at Greensboro College.

I have been in the field of education, for 11 years, working with kids and teenagers. and adults. The last 3 years I’ve been part of this amazing program as 1st Grade teacher Dual Language.

I’m dynamic, proactive and passionate for teaching; I enjoy being part of my students' learning process. My current role is stimulating, and I find great fulfillment in such a friendly environment, always considering the multicultural society, beliefs and values; I aspire to a similarly amazing opportunity where I may make a meaningful contribution to your child.
